Hazelwood Parish Council hereby advise the electorate of a 30 working day period during which your public rights may be exercised. The Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 as summarised in the Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2015 (Statutory Instrument No. 234), and the Code of Audit Practice require that: Each year the Council’s Annual Return is audited by an auditor appointed by Public Sector Audit Appointments Limited. Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounts to be audited and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating to them. There is charge made for copies.
For the year ended 31 March of the year of this post of this notice, these documents will be available on reasonable notice at an agreed location on application to:

These hours are restricted to 10am to 11pm on working days are defined as Monday – Wednesday.
They do not include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays.
The inspection period commences on: 2 June 2024 and ends on: 13 July 2024

Local Government Electors and their representatives also have:
• the opportunity to question the auditor about the accounts; and
• the right to make objections to the accounts or any item in them.
Written notice of an objection must first be given to the auditor and a copy sent to the Council contact above.

The audit is being conducted under the provisions of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014, the Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2015 and the National Audit Office’ Code of Audit Practice.
